I bought this and 3 other inserts in late 2020. These were very easy to put together. The pieces were well cut for easy punch out.
The dry fit of the pieces was tight for everything except the oil tanks (open cylinders for orange, blue, and white cubes). Those took a drop of glue on 20-40% of the slats.
The wood quality was perfect, no major blemishes or weak spots (I’ve had that with other companies).
Instructions were very clear with recommended components for each section. I asked questions via email before ordering and received clear, quick communication in return.
Convenient for storage, but mostly used for thematic aesthetics.

This is a very unique insert with lots of custom parts that look great on the table. It was fairly straightforward to assemble, except for the pipeline marker which was very challenging to assemble, and once I was finished assembling it, it doesn’t really hold together very well. One of the slats inside the inner rings has a natural bend to it, which causes it to pop out of the rings holding it in place and then the rings are somewhat loose. I’m sure gluing this would’ve made it much better, but one of my favorite things about Meeple Realty inserts is almost never needing glue. Overall, a very nice insert, and one of my favorites to have on display during a game. Excellent work again!
